This is it! Whether you're a backpacker or just coming into Sydney for a short stay, Alfred Park has all you need.

The Alfred Park Hotel is a beautifully restored heritage building built in 1848 for a whaling boat captain. Alfred Park is under new management and they really want to be the best in the business. To start with, the rooms are all in the process on being renovated! No dark, damp rooms in this joint! All private rooms and most dorms are air conditioned too!

We are located close to Central Railway Station just opposite Prince Alfred Park, which has its own swimming pool and tennis courts. Chinatown, Darling Harbour, Centrepoint Tower and Sydney's main shopping centre are just a brisk walk away. We are also within walking distance of the Sydney Football Stadium, Sydney Cricket Ground, Centennial Park and the new Fox Studios. Trains, buses and taxi fares to these places are also very reasonable.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: As part of our ongoing commitment to providing our guests with the best travellers accommodation and realistic prices, Alfred Park is about to undergo major renovations and additions to our facilities. This will include more undercover car parking for guests, better lounge and common areas, big screens, internet kiosk, more ensuite rooms, games room and much more. Alfred Park will become one of the premier hostels in Sydney catering for all travellers wanting the very best in Tourist Accommodation. We are also expecting to receive the much coveted ?Green Star Rating? for energy efficiency and environmentally friendly design. This will include the harvesting of rain water for watering lawns and car washing as well as toilet flushing. Photovoltaic Arrays will harvest Solar Energy for lighting and our appliances will all have at least a AAA Rating for water efficiency. Even the clothes dryers will run on clean natural gas (instead of using coal generated electricity). Whilst construction work will only occur during normal working hours, some areas and facilities may have limited access. This minor inconvenience is reflected in our particularly economical price structure. Thank you for your co-operation. Please review our Terms, Conditions and Cancellation Fees before submitting your request. Any Cancellation has to be in writing and faxed back to us.
We ask that all bookings be made in advance and confirmed before your departure for Sydney.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General
Prices subject to change from time to time without notice prior to bookings being accepted.
Bookings are transferable with sufficient notice (10 days or more).

All guests must observe the rules and regulations of our Hotels.
It is recommended that guests not leave their valuables or cash in their rooms. Valuables may be stored in the Hotel safes.
The Hostel is not responsible for theft or loss of guest property
or any injuries caused to guests or friends of guest.
All guests are advised to take out their own personal and travel insurance.

2) Arrival and Check-out Times
The Hostel Office is open for check-in from 7:30a.m - 11p.m.
Checkout time is 10a.m on the day of departure.

Reservation Procedures

The balance payable on arrival in full.

Cancellations Fees
All Cancellations have to be in writing and faxed or emailed back to us. Any cancellation made before stay must be sent to us (emailed or faxed) 48 before your arrival. No penalty applies.
Any cancellation made on stay commencement will result in the forfeiture of 1 extra night. No Show will be charged 1 night penalty (over and above any deposit already paid).

Christmas and New Year Bookings: 18th December to 3rd January. Alfred Park may charge the full amount of your booking balance prior to your arrival. Cancellations for bookings made from 18th Dec to 3rd Jan will incur a 50% penalty (This includes the 10% deposit).

From Central Station, walk up Elizabeth Street veering right along Chalmers Street and turn right at Cleveland Street. From the airport, catch a shuttle bus (eg. KST Airporter) straight to our door for $9 per person.Or just call our FREE CALL number when you arrive and we will pick you up! We also offer an airport drop-off. No hassles!
